People’s Action Party Website

People’s Action Party Website

For the 2020 Singapore general election, the People’s Action Party needed a new website to engage with their community in way that’s not been done before. At the start of the project, the client has expressed the intent to have organic conversations happening within their community which could then be harnessed to funnel growth in supporters.

With that we defined some goals for the project:

  1. Funnel engagement from social channels to the website
  2. Give supporters the tools to advocate the party
  3. Be inclusive
  4. Support legacy content and supporter database

We then reached out to Nationbuilder to help us build the platform to power this new website.

A new home for the People’s Action Party to engage with their community

Process

The project was quite a challenge as it didn't involve just design and web development but also campaign management and many many stakeholders. We centered the experience around visitors who want to find the latest and most relevant news, they can even find their representative to engage with them. To support the vision for the new website we had to customise Natiobuilder and create our own microservices through webhooks.

On top of the main website, we’ve incorporated a system for the party to add their own microsites without the need for technical assistance.
